"A Day in the Life of AmericanMadeBabe"

American Made Babe has started another day early,
having set her alarm clock (made in Japan) for 6:00am.
While her coffee pot (made in Japan) is perking,
she styles her hair with her hair
dryer & curling iron (made in Taiwan),
and shaves her legs with her electric razor (made in Hong Kong).
She puts on a dress suit (made in Singapore),
and a pair of dress shoes (made in Korea).
After cooking up some breakfast in her
new electric skillet (made in the Philippines),
she sits down to figure out on her calculator (made in Mexico)
how much she can spend today.
After setting her watch (made in Japan),
to the radio (made in Hong Kong),
she goes out, gets in her car (made in Japan),
and goes looking, as she has been for months,
for a "GOOOOOD" paying "American" job.
At the end of another discouraging and fruitless day,
American Made Babe decides to relax for awhile.
She puts on a pair of sandles (made in Brazil),
pours herself a glass of wine (made in France),
and turns on her TV (made in Japan)
and once again ponders why she can't find a good paying
American job??

"A Flag As A Tax Symbol?"

A visitor from Holland was chatting with American Made Babe
and was jokingly explaining about the
red, white and blue in the Netherlands flag.
"Our flag symbolizes our taxes," he said.
"We get red when we talk about them, white when we get our tax bill,
and blue after we pay them."
"Oh, that's the same with us," nodded American Made Babe,
"Only we see stars, too!"

do we use answering machines to screen calls
and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call
from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place.

Only in America......
can a homeless combat veteran live in a cardboard box
and a draft dodger live in the White House. (Ouch!)
